Hi! I'm Maya, and I believe learning should feel like an adventure, not a chore. After 8 years teaching in traditional classrooms, I realized my favorite moments were always the ones where we threw out the lesson plan and followed a student's curiosity instead.

Now I work one-on-one with neurodivergent kids, and honestly? It's the most rewarding work I've ever done. I specialize in making math feel less scary — we use games, art projects, and whatever your kid is obsessed with right now to make numbers click.

My approach: No timers. No "you should know this by now." No shame. Just patient exploration at whatever pace works. I'm neurodivergent myself (ADHD), so I genuinely get how frustrating it can be when your brain works differently than the textbook expects.

When I'm not tutoring, I'm probably playing board games, tending to my chaotic plant collection, or down a Wikipedia rabbit hole about something random.
