Meet Jordan
About Me
Hey there! I'm Jordan — part-time tutor, full-time nerd. I teach coding and gaming skills to kids who learn differently, because I genuinely believe screen time can be incredibly educational when approached thoughtfully.
I started tutoring almost by accident — I was helping my nephew (who has autism) learn to code through Minecraft mods, and his mom mentioned other families were desperate for someone who "got it." Turns out, there's a huge need for tech-savvy tutors who understand that a kid who can't sit still for worksheets might hyperfocus for hours building something in code.
My sessions are low-pressure and interest-led. Want to build a game? Let's do it. Want to learn Python through making Discord bots? I'm in. Struggling with reading but love video games? We can work on literacy through game design and storytelling.
I have personal experience with anxiety and sensory sensitivities, so I'm very mindful about creating a calm, predictable environment. Cameras optional. Breaks encouraged. Stims welcome.
I also run a weekly social gaming group on Fridays — it's free and open to any neurodivergent kids who want to hang out and play games together online. No teaching, just connecting.
